creating better life and opportunities for residents of Odogbolu
In April 2003, Mr. Albert Odutola Oduyela, National Chairman OSADAUSA, received a letter from the Odogbolu Community Development Council (OCDC), appointing him as the Chairman OCDC United States of America Branch. In the appointment letter, they gave him the authority to coordinate, organize, assemble and bring together all sons and daughters of Odogbolu in the United States of America for the upliftment and progress of Odogbolu.
He took the appointment letter to Messrs Isiaka Elesho and Olasumbo Owoeye that tried to help him make some contacts in New York but to no avail. In July 2003, the National Chairman contacted Mr. J. A. Odunaiya (Oba) who then took necessary steps to bring Messrs Chris Ajayi and Gbenga Jeboda of Dallas Forth Worth on board.
They then sent out about 200 letters across the U.S. inviting the sons and daughters of Odogbolu to come together. Nine (9) months after they sent out letters, the association had its first meeting at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Gbenga Jeboda in Dallas Forth Worth with eight (8) members in attendance.
After much deliberations, the OCDCUSA was dropped and at subsequent meetings, the association resolved to be called Odogbolu Sons and Daughters Association USA (OSADAUSA) at a meeting held in August 2004, with the same objective as OCDCUSA. The new Association’s name was incorporated in the same month.
We organize several events to create awareness about our association and also meet one another
There are events to be held later in the year. This means more pictures to feel our space. We are excited.
There is always a meeting for all national executives every second Sunday of the month
Every member of the OSADAUSA community meet every last Sunday of the month
A conference will be held to sensitize members about COVID-19
OSADAUSA donated boreholes for the community. The association also donated motorcycles, uniforms and whistles for the security personnel at Odogbolu
We are committed to providing educational materials like exercise books, textbooks, and computer systems for schools in the Odogbolu community. Modern toilets were also built for the school. OSADAUSA has donated more than 20,000 exercise books to elementary schools. This project is an annual commitment.
OSADAUSA organises annual fund raising events in addition to generous donations from our benefactors. We appreciate the support of donors in helping us to contribute positively to our community.
We welcome your support of OSADAUSA efforts through generous donations as we embark on bringing economic development to Odobgolu in areas as clean water initiative, building small community medical clinics and development of road network infrastructure in the city. Other useful donation items are medicine and medical equipment, books, desktop computer systems and software applications for schools.
